Remembering Dr. Aziz-ul-Haq

These pictures were taken during a special session of Halqa-e-Arbab-e-Zouq held in the memory of Dr. Aziz-ul-Haq; a Scientist and a leading pro-left Intellectual of the 70’s (26-01-1939…28-05-1972), especially with reference to his recently published Book, ‘Mazaameen-e-Aziz ul Haq’.

The said meeting presided by Dr. Saadat Saeed was held on 18.11.12 at Aiwan e Iqbal Lahore…

While cherishing the memories of Dr. Aziz-ul-Haq, it was a great learning experience listening to Dr. Saadat Saeed, Anwar-ul-Haq (Brother of Dr. Aziz-ul-Haq), Sami Ahuja, Abdul Rashid, Dr. Tabassum Kashmiri, Shahid Mahmood Nadeem, Khalid Mehboob, Nasrin Anjum Bhatti (she read an article on Aziz-ul-Haq penned down by her late husband and scholar Zubair Rana), Tasnim Abid Hassan Mantoo (she read her article on Aziz-ul-Haq. This article has also been included in the aforementioned book) , Dr. Ajmal Niazi, Saeed Ahmad, Shafique Ahmad, Abdul Rashid Misbah and Muhammad Ayub (a colleague of Dr. Aziz-ul-Haq).

Gathering was good and it was a real thought provoking session.
